Seeking advice or experience with thermal inkjet performance and reliability.
We have two near identical MI TIJ units on two separate packaging lines, located in the same room. Both print paperboard cartons.
"Line 1" inkjet head is low maintenance, requires minimal cleaning (once per 48h) and prints reliably. Single pen head.
"Line 2" requires frequent cleaning, almost hourly and accompanying defect prints due to deterioration of the print quality prior to cleaning. Dual pen head.
Throughput is 20-150 upm, both units are ethanol based. If anyone has any tips on how to improve, that would be much appreciated.
