IoPP Webinar — Industry 4.0: Considerations for Packaging

    Jun 21, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM (CT)
The next industrial revolution is here—it’s the digitization of industry. It affects the entire value chain, from packaging to customer. It’s global in scope and it will impact both small and large companies. It’s called Industry 4.0, and it’s already making early appearances in some segments of packaged goods. Consumer product companies will be looking to Industry 4.0 for data analytics to align packaging operations with the business goals of reduced time-to-market, global supply chain visibility, product demand management and flexibility, total landed cost, compliance and traceability. Manufacturers that do these operations best in the digitization of industry will have the best chance of becoming preferred suppliers to their end users. Learn more about this webinar. IoPPNE Tech Talk with OLIVER STAUFFER, PTI CEO

    Jun 21, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM (ET)
PTI CEO Oliver Stauffer will present a webinar on Packaging Integrity: Regulatory Shifts & Technological Drivers. Packaging regulatory oversight by the FDA has increased with the emergence of combination class II devices, infant product regulations, and general advancement of quality standards surrounding high risk products.  Most recently the USP 1207 was rewritten to establish requirements and expectations with regard to testing sterile barrier packaging.  The FDA uses the USP 1207 as a guide to relevant methodologies that can be deployed for package integrity testing.  The FDA uses the same bar of risk based assessment and suggested methodologies listed in the USP 1207 in regulating a wide range of high risk packaging applications.
