Morning Jason,
We had a success story with GSK, now Haleon a few years ago based on improving the barrier properties of their Advil packaging.
"McDonald credits the success of the lightweighting program to GSK's collaboration/partnership with Dow and Milliken for the materials and Alltrista Plastics for the manufacturing."
Advil Reducing Plastic in 80+ Million HDPE Bottles by 20% (plasticstoday.com)
This was mainly through, improving the barrier characteristics of the HDPE using one of our additives. Think they manage to improve the barrier by something like 30%. With that they were able to reduce the thickness of the packaging. All while keeping it 100% recyclable.
I am thinking this might be possible for Wipes as well, as I suppose WVTR might be quite an important property for your Wipe filled containers that I assume are made from HDPE. I'll be happy to connect you with my colleagues who look after your region, if you are keen to explore the opportunity together.
Thanks!

Subject: Sustainable Packaging ideas
I wanted to put out some feelers and see if there were any converters out there who had some sustainable packaging initiatives. I am currently at a company that makes disinfectants. Attached is mainly the packaging we use
-labelled canisters filled with wipes
-labelled 1L & 4 Gallon jugs
-Tighthead containers
-38mm closures with vented liners
I am open to any and all possible sustainable initiatives (resin, design, reduced materials) so please feel free to share anything your company may have
Thanks in advance
