  • 1.  Packaging options to extended the shelf life of freshly baked goods.

Has anyone successfully prolonged the freshness of freshly baked goods, such as croissants, using standard PET clamshells or PET tray lids with a parameter seal?

What do you mean when you say, "standard" PET? Without any additive or barrier? Without MAP?

    Conor,

Thanks for the reply and unfortunately, the current PET clamshell or PET tray lid packaging for freshly baked goods, such as croissants, lacks options for Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) or lid seals. Additionally, the use of a barrier tray is not a viable solution unless we can implement either sealing or MAP technology for the package.
