    Does anybody have any good leads on where I could find an affordable Instron style tensile/compression tester (and possible torsion). It doesn't have to be huge

    Hi Jason, we do have an Instron 5969 in our lab that is accessible to industry partners (message me if interested).  If you want to purchase a used frame, I would look at Deja Vu lab for a good refurbished frame like Compression Crush Tester | Deja Vu Lab and Test Equipment.  I have a contact there if you need.
