As you'll recall our goal over the last several months has been to develop a formal training program on Sustainable Packaging that can be offered to the IoPP membership. It will be broken into 7 Modules: Introduction, Recycling, Bio/Compost, Labeling, Climate, Business & Regulatory.
The Sub-committees continue to make amazing progress developing a comprehensive training program by module. I am amazed at the breadth of topics that will be covered as well as how much I am learning participating in these working groups. The Climate Module is near completion with Labeling, Recycling, Bio/Compost, Introduction and Business following close behind. We are still in the early days developing the Regulatory Module and ask that anyone who is interested let Steve Carter know (Steve.Carter@winlandfoods.com). We are not looking for experts in the field but rather people who are interested in ensuring we are capturing all relevant topics. It's a great way to engage with your broader network to bring information in.
We plan to meet in person as a full committee at Pack Expo West in Sept with the hope of providing an abbreviated version of the training program to get feedback from the SPTC. More Details to follow.
