    Hello,

We are testing a new (to us) adhesive on our finished goods pallets to see if we can reduce stretch wrap in our supply chain. We are looking for an ISTA lab that can simulate truck/rail/ship transit.  Please let me know if you have any that have been good to work with.

    Thank you!

    Hello Andrew,

I highly recommend TEN-E Packaging Services. They have an excellent certified testing facility located in the Chicago area (MN and NJ locations as well) and are fantastic to work with.

Given that you are testing full finished goods pallets across truck, rail, and ship transit, you will likely want to look into running an ISTA 3E protocol (or a modified ASTM D4169 schedule). TEN-E is fully equipped for this type of dynamic distribution simulation, including unitized load vibration and impact testing.

They should be a perfect fit for validating your new adhesive stabilization project and helping you reduce that stretch wrap.

    Best regards,

    Rino Jacob

    Andrew,

I do not think Ten-E has a Chicago area location. Closest to Chicago is MN location. I have used them in their Mn location, and use them regularly in their NC location. I highly recommend them.

Good morning Andrew - if you're interested in using a GOAT, try Gaynes Labs in Chicago. Yury Beyderman and his experienced team mates purchased the company from the founders in 1996 and now have 70 years of test data, from 10,000+ tests, and 1,000+ clients. The beauty of Gaynes experience is not only are they an ISTA certified lab, they also are certified for TAPPI, ASTM, Federal DoT, SEFA, and DoW/DoD. Those certifications add additional considerations for conditions ISTA may not add into the "real world" matters of your clients.

I'm a second generation client who's gained value from Gaynes experience and I'm sure you will find them able advisors to your and Cargill's needs.

Best of luck with your new product launch!

I agree on Gaynes being a great option - I have used them for environmental testing of folding cartons that were shipping globally. They were on time, easy to deal with, and thorough.

    Hi all,

Just wanted to say thanks for responses, this was my first time using this chat board, and appreciate all the feedback. For this project it actually makes most sense to use Ten-E, so we'll go that route.

    Thanks again,

    Andrew
