Hello All,
My plant is looking into adding some heated rollers to warm up the LDPE surface of our substrate and improve printing reliability during the colder months. Still in the early phases, but we were wondering if we could pick an upper temperature limit for the surfaces of these rollers. Basically, at what temperature would making brief contact with these rollers begin to cause the LDPE to tack? If it helps, let's assume surface of the rollers are stainless steel, the dwell time is less than 0.1s, and there is less than 15psi pressure on the LDPE surface.
I'm sure the answer is "it depends". but was wondering if anyone had a ballpark to start with?
Thank you.
