My companies R&D packaging lab has potential opportunity to relocate our lab into another space/building. We currently have a hydraulic Lansmont vibration table in our current lab. If we were to move to a new space, we would preferably want to avoid requiring a hydraulic unit if there are options out there that would still comply with random vibration testing for ISTA certification, as we are in-house ISTA certified lab, so we need to ensure the capability still meets those needs. We have identified electrodynamic vibration tables, but was curious if other companies or labs actually use these and if there is any limitations of these types of tables verse a hydraulic one. We do not test pallet loads; primarily individual cases or a column stack of cases so usually testing no more than 120 lbs. without any table fixturing. Anyone with insight to provide would be much appreciated!
