Does anyone have information they can share related to shelf life on small 1.5oz packs of coffee?

--Considering foil -vs- metalized laminated pouch.

--Vacuum packed brick -vs- gas flush -vs- ambient air.

    --Storage temperature.

    Thank you,
    Tim

    Tim,

I can tell you what our overall impressions are as a supplier of vertical form fill seal machines for packaging coffee.

Fractional packs are packaged in metallized films.  Most are gas flushed. Foil provides a better barrier, but is is far more expensive and as fractional packs do not need an extended shelf life its cost is not justified.

Vacuum packaging yields the longest shelf life, but it is an expensive process that is not justified.

Pleas let me know if I can be of any further help.

    Hi Tim,
I agree with Robert's comment and having said that, there's another option to determine the shelf life and own your results.

In brief, you want to keep moisture & Oxygen far away from the food for as long as the food remains on the shelf.

    Important Notes:
    (1) (ASLT) Accelerated shelf life test is required.
       (A) Have a controlled competitor 1.5oz small packs of coffee vs yours Unknown
       (B) Improve Unknown shelf life properties for as long as you want product to be on the Shelf
          (i) What is Unknown WVTR & OTR?

I hope this helps, I am available if you need me to clarify on any information
