Using Straps instead of OPP tspe for work in progress carton

Hi, would like to know if anyone has managed to replace using OPP tape with straps for carton boxes, idea is to reuse carton boxes for a number of times, Applying and removing OPP tape might reduce carton lifespan.Would like the straps to close just enough to be stacked

Industry uses for refrigerated meat boxes. Watch strap tension. You might need corner guard/protectors to keep from digging into box edges.

Curious how Sesame tape would work for a reusable package?

Is this where the phrases "Open Sesame" and "Open Says Me" come from?

There are a few reusable products out there that hold flaps closed temporarily, see link for one example.
    https://www.allenfield.com/product/box-flap-closure/
You could also design custom overlap flaps that friction "lock" together and are easily reopened.

Collapsible reusable plastic alternative that replicates paper corrugate is available (website and videos below).  Sealed edges so better hygiene.

I've tested the plastic corrugated boxes for a customer that was using them for Category A infectious shipments.  They would survive 30' drop tests full of dry ice, very strong containers.
