  • Chapter Communication: 2024 - Q3

Greetings, Wisconsin Chapter members, affiliates, and supporters!

I hope your summer is going well. We have received a lot of rain so far this summer, but hopefully, that hasn't put a damper on your summer plans and events. As we get into July, I'd like to pass along a few notes about the chapter and always extend an invitation for you to participate in the chapter events that suit your needs.

    1. Annual Golf Outing
Up next on the calendar is our pinnacle event, taking place on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Royal St Patrick's in Wrightstown. Our chapter's fundraising purpose, specifically with this event, is to fund our annual scholarships. Those who have participated in the past are familiar with the experience, and we welcome everyone to find a way to participate in the outing this year. We are limited to 30 teams and are at capacity for this year's event, but we can always find space for individuals and twosomes.

We also have hole advertiser spots available! Please reach out if you want to take advantage of this opportunity. Sign-up is super easy!

    2. Scholarship Update
The purpose of our chapter's fundraising, and specifically through our golf outing, is to fund our annual scholarships. We award three scholarships each year, typically to students attending UW Stout. We are fortunate to be in a position this year to fund a fourth scholarship! For the 2024/2025 school year, we will award two $2,000 scholarships to upperclassmen and two $800 scholarships to underclassmen. All recipients are studying packaging at UW Stout. We've invited this year's recipients to participate in our August golf outing, and I've heard from a couple that they will attend.

    3. 2024 Q4 Event(s)
As the focus has been on the golf outing, we do not yet have an event planned for Q4. Like last year, I'd like to hold an event in the SE area. So, if you have an event idea or are interested in hosting an event (it could be a tour or social outing), please get in touch with me directly, and we can work together to figure something out.

That's all I have for this communication. I hope to see you at the golf outing on August 16!

    Best Regards,

    Mike Scheel
