The Medical Device Packaging Technical Committee (MDPTC) is excited to offer an incredible opportunity to the next generation of packaging professionals!
The MDPTC-sponsored scholarship gives students passionate about making a difference in the medical device packaging community the opportunity to attend the [PACK]out™ conference in Coronado, California, May 14-16, 2024.
This scholarship is a doorway to expanding your professional network, gaining invaluable insights, and laying the foundation for a successful future in medical device packaging.
MDPTC will cover your conference registration fees, airfare, and hotel costs*, ensuring you can focus on what truly matters—learning, connecting, and growing.
*The scholarship does not cover additional expenses such as transportation and meals.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be:
- An IoPP student member
- Actively pursuing a degree, minor, or certification aligning with a career in medical device packaging
- In your junior or senior year of an undergraduate program or enrolled in a master's degree program.
- Available to attend the [PACK]out conference from May 14-16, 2024
Ready and willing to briefly introduce yourself at the conference, showcasing your passion for medical device packaging.

Submit the following in a two-page, single-spaced, 12-font size essay*:
- List the following at the top of page one:
- Name
- Contact information
- School, Major/Minor, and Class Level
- IoPP member since:
- Your overall GPA and major GPA
- Include the following in the context of your essay:
- Why are you interested in pursuing a career in Medical Device Packaging
- Explanation of your interest in pursuing a medical packaging career.
- Why would a career in medical device packaging be fulfilling to you?
- How would your current talents and interests be leveraged toward a career in medical device packaging?
- Why the [PACK]out™ conference interests you, and what it would mean to you to attend.
- Description of your participation in student affairs, student organizations, and IoPP Chapter meetings, as applicable.
- Description of your participation in class activities and projects related to Medical Device Packaging. Examples include engineering, design, marketing, supply chain, operations, compliance, etc.
- What would you want us to know if you could conclude with one accomplishment or professional highlight?
