IoPP Fundamentals of Sustainable Packaging

We built this course with experts from our Sustainable Packaging Technical Committee to give you a grounded, practical look at what it takes to design packaging with a lighter footprint and make decisions that hold up under real-world pressures. You’ll work through materials, system impacts, design strategies, and current market expectations, all with guidance from professionals who solve these challenges every day. On day three, you’ll tour LRS , one of America’s leading providers of innovative and environmentally responsible waste, recycling and portable services solutions. The future of packaging is being shaped by professionals who bring new ideas, fresh perspectives, and innovative approaches to the industry's challenges. This year, we're introducing the Future Packaging Visionary recognition, honoring early-career packaging professionals who demonstrate exceptional vision, innovation, and leadership. Nominations are also open for our College of Fellows and Honorary Lifetime Member recognitions, which celebrate individuals whose careers and contributions have advanced the packaging profession and strengthened our community. We're also accepting nominations year-round for Pi Alpha Kappa , recognizing those who have made significant contributions to packaging education. Nominate a packaging professional by August 31.
