The Chemical Packaging Committee (CPC) is a technical committee of the Institute of Packaging Professionals and comprises over 70 member companies and associations from the Chemical Industry. Each company is engaged in the manufacturing, packaging, or distributing of chemicals.

The CPC strives to be the recognized leader and resource on chemical packaging technology and regulations and to provide a forum to resolve industry issues.

The CPC provides a leadership forum through the broad and diverse representation of the chemical industry by:

• Participating proactively in regulation formulation on local, national, and global levels
• Developing and distributing position papers regarding industry issues to CPC members, regulatory bodies, and others
• Assuring that packaging technology and information is readily accessible for the professional development of CPC members
• Embracing safe and sustainable best practices
• Ensuring swift response to trends in the industry and CPC member needs
• Maintaining subcommittees for specific areas of interest, including:
  • Regulation and Legislation
  • Drum, Pail, and Intermediate Bulk Container
  • Bag, Box, and Bottle
