I am currently a student at California Polytechnic University at San Luis Obispo. I am obtaining a bachelor's in Industrial Technologies and Packaging, with a concentration in Packaging Technologies. Prior to beginning my journey at Cal Poly I worked as a product specialist for MURF Electric Bikes Inc. gaining experience in global product sourcing, quality control, safety documentation, and warranty management. This early passion for quality, global connections, and customer satisfaction led me into the world of packaging.
Currently at Cal Poly I am working to peruse a career in industrial or medical packaging. The impact these types of packaging systems are so vital from product and environmental protection, as well as ensuring safety for users. This past summer I had the chance to work at WESTPAK Inc. being able to enter the field of distribution and medical packaging testing. Their passion for quality and ensuring that consumers will receive safe and secure protect was truly inspiring, motivating me to further my career in that direction.
This Fall Quarter I am currently working on furthering my distribution packaging skills through a Packaging Dynamics Course. As well as learning more about human centered design through a product development course. Outside of curriculum, I am the Workshop Coordinator for the IDSA chapter at Cal Poly, teaching students about the important of design and what products need to be moving to towards for the future. Along with this I am also an active member of the Cal Poly Packaging Club and Cycling Club.
