Mobility-related disabilities affect a significant portion of the U.S. population, and nearly 60 million Americans live with arthritis. Similar challenges exist around the world. But physical limitations aren't the only reason consumers may struggle with packaging. Everyday situations, such as trying to open or use a package with one hand while holding an infant with the other, can create usability challenges, too.

These challenges present an opportunity for packaging professionals to think differently about design. On October 29, a panel of experts immersed in inclusive design will discuss how packaging can better meet a wider range of consumer needs. Thoughtful design solutions can improve accessibility and usability while helping products stand apart on the shelf and strengthening the consumer experience.

The panel will examine successful examples of inclusive packaging, lessons from inclusive design beyond the packaging industry, and what the future could hold. We’ll also look at the Arthritis Foundation’s Ease of Use Certification program and packaging design guidance.
This Premier webinar is free for Premium and Elite members. Basic members and non-members can attend for $99.
