IoPP Cincinnati Chapter members host a tour of Rumpke Recycling's Material Recovery Facility (MRF), one of North America's largest residential recycling plants. This facility serves 4.5 million people and has a processing capacity of at least 55 tons of recycling per hour.
Attendees will watch a short video highlighting acceptable recycling items and then walk around the plant to see how the recyclable materials are sorted. The tour will last approximately 60 minutes.
Guests are required to wear sturdy hard-soled, closed-toe shoes with backs (no sandals or heels). Long pants and long sleeves are recommended. Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged.
IoPP members pay $10 to attend, and non-members pay $15.
